Ecobraz proposes sustainable co-branding model for electronics manufacturers
Ecobraz presents an innovative sustainable co-branding model for electronics manufacturers, aimed at shared responsibility for the cycle of electronic products in accordance with the PNRS (Law No. 12.305/2010). The initiative strengthens ESG governance, promoting efficient reverse logistics and responsible disposal.
Regulatory Context and Importance of the Sustainable Model
According to Law No. 12.305/2010 - the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS) - manufacturers have a legal obligation to implement reverse logistics systems for electronic waste. The model proposed by Ecobraz encourages collaboration between brands to collectively meet these requirements, optimizing operations and reducing environmental impacts.
Sustainable Co-Branding Structure
The model facilitates the creation of an integrated network between manufacturers, enabling the common use of channels for the collection of electronic waste (agendamento) and proper waste treatment, in line with the rules of the National Solid Waste Management Information System (SINIR).
It also incorporates safe processes for the disposal of storage units and electronic media, guaranteeing the sanitation of data using certified methods in accordance with the recommendations of the NIST. For this stage, Ecobraz provides a channel for safe disposal and sanitization (electronic waste scheduling).
Benefits for Corporate Decision Makers
For leaders in the areas of ESG, EHS, purchasing, IT and legal, adopting this model represents an improvement in environmental compliance, reinforcement of the institutional image and mitigation of legal risks associated with electronic waste.
The co-branding model, by bringing together several brands in a collaborative structure, reduces operating costs through logistics optimization, as well as encouraging the circular economy, which is fundamental for compliance with the PNRS and SINIR guidelines.
Final Thoughts
The Ecobraz project aligns corporate strategies with Brazilian environmental legislation, promoting sustainability and social responsibility through joint engagement in the management of electrical and electronic waste.
These initiatives favor ESG governance processes and expand compliance with the legal obligations set out in current legislation, including the PNRS and complementary regulations relating to the reverse logistics of electronics.
ManifestTransparency & Security Manifesto
Evidence and transparency: Our ESG approach is built on traceable documentation, verifiable records and auditable operational criteria. We turn electronic waste management into operational evidence to support governance, traceability and the mitigation of environmental, documentary and corporate risks. Documentary security and compliance: Documented traceability helps reduce regulatory exposure, strengthens documentary defensibility and supports alignment with applicable environmental policies, corporate contracts and governance requirements, including national and international references relevant to supply chains. Operational costing of reverse logistics: Door-to-door collection and responsible processing of electronic waste involve relevant logistics, technical and documentary costs. For this reason, Ecobraz structures transparent operational costing models linked to reverse logistics execution, with no promise of financial return, investment or asset appreciation. Governance: Operational execution is guided by compliance, traceability and verifiable documentation criteria. The priority is to strengthen the client’s corporate evidence, reduce documentary gaps and support safer, more responsible and defensible disposal decisions.
