Battery collection with proper handling, transport and final destination

Batteries call for packaging, transport and final treatment that meet specific requirements — and that is precisely the flow Ecobraz organises. Each collection is defined by a technical assessment of type, quantity, condition (including damaged or swollen units), location and the documentation required.

Battery types we collect

  • Lithium batteries (equipment, power tools, corporate power banks);
  • Lead-acid batteries;
  • Stationary batteries (UPS systems, telecoms, energy banks);
  • Traction and forklift batteries;
  • Automotive batteries — cars, motorcycles and fleets;
  • Marine and railway batteries;
  • Batteries from e-bikes, e-scooters and other light electric vehicles.

Please note: loose household batteries (AA, AAA and similar) are not accepted — for these, please use the official retail and manufacturer reverse-logistics collection points.

UPS units and voltage stabilisers

UPS units and voltage stabilisers are collected together with their internal batteries, within the same assessment flow. Data centre and telecoms battery banks may require an inventory, scheduled dismantling and a chain of custody — describe your scenario in the request.

How it works

  1. You describe the battery type, approximate quantity, condition and address;
  2. Our team assesses risks, packaging, logistics and the applicable documents;
  3. The scope is approved — conditions, responsibilities and timelines are defined before removal;
  4. Collection, transport and final destination follow the agreed scope, with the contracted evidence (such as the MTR waste manifest and the CDF final-destination certificate, according to the service performed).

Frequently asked questions

Do you collect car and motorcycle batteries?

Yes. Automotive batteries go through the standard collection assessment, including batches from workshops and fleets.

Do you collect forklift batteries or stationary battery banks?

Yes. Traction and stationary batteries are handled subject to an assessment of weight, access and on-site handling.

Can a swollen or damaged lithium battery be collected?

Describe its condition in your request: damaged units require specific packaging, defined during the technical assessment before removal.

Do you collect ordinary household batteries?

No. Loose household batteries should be taken to the official retail and manufacturer reverse-logistics collection points.

Which documents are issued?

Documentation varies according to the material, the transport and the contracted scope — let us know in your request what your audit process requires.
