The process begins with objective information: the waste generator's profile, address, materials, estimated quantity or volume, photographs, access conditions and the expected timescale. The better the description, the more accurate the assessment.
2. Technical and logistical assessment
The team reviews the location, the composition of the batch, risks, packaging requirements, weight, handling, the operational window and the resources needed. Submitting the form does not automatically confirm the collection.
3. Scope definition
Before scheduling, the parties agree on accepted materials, responsibilities, site preparation, data handling, inventory, documentation, costs and timescales. Items outside the scope must be kept separate.
4. Scheduling the pick-up
Once approved, the operation is scheduled according to availability and site requirements. Organisations should provide access rules, loading docks, lifts, security clearance procedures and the contacts responsible for release.
5. Collection and transfer
Materials are checked according to the agreed method. Where contracted, the chain of custody records the responsible parties, volumes, assets or media at each planned transfer point.
6. Processing and records
Treatment and documentation vary according to the category, the approved service and the actual execution. Some records depend on verification or processing carried out after the pick-up.
