Principles adopted

Authority does not come from absolute promises. It depends on clear scope, identified responsibilities, consistent records and documents that represent the materials, the stages and the service actually performed. What exists is shown; what is pending is flagged; what cannot be proven is never turned into a promise.

Public records and listings for Ecobraz

European Union — good practice listed on the ECESP

Ecobraz's Adopt a Neighbourhood programme (Adote um Bairro) is listed as a good practice on the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP), a joint initiative of the European Commission and the EESC. Listing is visibility, not endorsement. See the official listing. What this does not mean: approval, certification or any seal of the European Union.

United Nations — profile in the civil society database

Ecobraz is listed in the United Nations iCSO database — the UN's civil society participation database — under code 708794; a listing, not an endorsement. Open the UN database (code 708794). What this does not mean: affiliation, accreditation or partnership with the UN, nor ECOSOC consultative status.

World Bank — citation in an infoDev report

Ecobraz was cited in an infoDev/World Bank Group study on models and scaling conditions in green sectors (“Innovations for Scaling Green Sectors”, 2017), in the section dedicated to electronic waste management. See the report. What this does not mean: recommendation, certification, funding or partnership with the World Bank.

Brazil — founded in 2011

Ecobraz is a Brazilian civil society organisation (CNPJ 14.197.457/0001-42), founded in 2011. Transparency note (corrected on 26 July 2026): a publication in the Diário Oficial da União (Brazil's official gazette) of 21 July 2023 (item no. 1,355, case no. 08071.000426/2023-36) records the granting of the OSCIP qualification requested by the entity. A previous version of this page mistakenly cited an item and case number belonging to another entity published in the same edition of the gazette — the error has been identified and corrected. Confirmation of the current status in the Ministry of Justice register is under way; until that confirmation, Ecobraz does not use the qualification in commercial materials.

Chronology note: Ecobraz was founded in 2011 (15 years of operation in 2026). External references to “16 years of experience” — such as the listing on the European platform — refer to the founding team's track record in the sector prior to the organisation's formal constitution.

CETEM — REMINARE operators register

Ecobraz/Emigre declares that it is included in the register of REMINARE operators maintained by the Centre for Mineral Technology (CETEM). Direct public verification pending: the official page renders the list dynamically and may not show the name in a plain-text reading; until a directly verifiable record is published, this evidence is classified as pending. See the listing. What this does not mean: a licence, certification or official approval.

Technical publications by Marcio Villanova

Marcio Villanova, CEO of Ecobraz and founder of Villanova ESG, maintains a public author identity under ORCID 0009-0001-8072-6287 and technical reports with persistent identifiers (DOIs) deposited on Zenodo, covering supplier evidence, financial risk, buyer-readiness, Brazil–Europe supply chains and corporate IT disposal. The 7 publications:

Note: the first report also carries the concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.20293222, which aggregates all versions and does not constitute an additional publication. There are 7 distinct publications.

Marcio Villanova is registered in the expert database of the European Commission’s Funding & Tenders Portal under number EX2026D1439124. Registration does not mean selection, contracting, appointment or endorsement by the European Commission. About the expert database.

The technical work of Marcio Villanova and Villanova ESG has public entries on the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform, including the circular supply chain evidence toolkit for non-EU suppliers and the position paper on the EU–Mercosur agreement. These listings are visibility, not endorsement. Note: ORCID is a self-managed persistent identifier, and deposit on Zenodo does not constitute peer review or institutional endorsement.

Social impact — Projeto Reciclando

Technically reusable equipment is directed to reuse and digital inclusion through Projeto Reciclando. Aggregate operational figures (collections, clients, tonnes) will be published only after reconciliation with primary records, together with the methodology and a cut-off date — no aggregate figure is disclosed before that.

What an organisation should verify before engaging a provider

Confirm who performs each stage, which materials are accepted, where each party's responsibility ends, which evidence will be delivered and which exceptions may prevent the operation. An inventory, a collection record, a chain of custody, a processing report and proofs of final destination serve different purposes — the requirement should be stated before the proposal.

Commitment to verifiable information

Institutional and technical content distinguishes legal obligation, good practice, operational capability and commercial conditions. Where an answer depends on the material or the location, Ecobraz will indicate the need for a technical assessment.
